A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Hosting
Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you have a hosting with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the shared hosting account itself. You will find all the email addresses that you have set up shown in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you whether a certain mailbox receives all the messages for a certain domain or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you like. In case there is activated email forwarding or if another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning message from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically and without your approval.
